The University of Oregon Selects EatecNetX
to Manage Campus Foodservice Operations

Emeryville, CA, August 30, 2004 - The University of Oregon, located in Eugene and one of the top public universities in the country, has selected Eatec Corporation’s back-office software solution, EatecNetX, to manage its foodservice operations, including two dining halls, on-campus catering, and six retail foodservice shops.
With over 20,000 undergraduate and graduate students on campus, the University’s Housing Department is dedicated to meeting the needs of all students and faculty, offering a variety of dining options from the “all-you-care-to-eat” meals at the Barnhart or Carson Dining Centers, or for individually priced items at Grab 'n Go Marketplace, Hammy's Diner, Fire 'n Spice Grill, Pizano’s Pizzeria, or Common Grounds Café.
EatecNetX is a web-enabled, enterprise system, providing multi-outlet management from a single, centralized database. EatecNetX replaces the University’s DOS-based system. Operations will utilize a broad array of EatecNetX features, including production planning, cycle planning and nutritional analysis. Production for all facilities, including catering, is done at the central production kitchen, and EatecNetX will be used to streamline the planning process, as well as manage purchasing, receiving and inventory control.
Tom Driscoll, University Housing’s food service director, is eager to go live with the new system in December 2004. “We looked at a number of other back-office systems and EatecNetX provides us with an easy-to-use, comprehensive solution. I am confident that we will be able to cut costs, reduce waste and improve the efficiency of operations throughout campus.”
