Foxwoods, the Largest Resort Casino in the World, Selects Eatec's Back-Office Solution to Manage Foodservice Operations

Emeryville, CA, May 4, 2004 - Foxwoods Resort Casino, the largest resort casino in the world, selected Eatec Corporation's back-office solution, EatecNetX, to manage its entire foodservice operation. Eatec Corporation is a leading provider of enterprise solutions for the foodservice and hospitality industries.

Foxwoods is located in Mashantucket, Connecticut and is owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. Foxwoods is comprised of six casinos and two hotels with more than 315,000 square feet of gaming space in a complex that covers 4.7 million square feet, making it the largest resort casino in the world. With over 40,000 guests visiting Foxwoods each day, the resort hosts 24 restaurants with a variety of menus that are sure to satisfy every palette. Gourmet chefs prepare everything from steak and seafood to Asian and Italian cuisine. Foxwoods' foodservice operation also includes banquets, four bars, an employee dining room, hotel room service, buffets, four production kitchens and three warehouses.

"Foxwoods' foodservice operations are so extensive that we knew we needed a powerful, but easy to use, back-office system to manage it," said Phil Minichino, food and beverage accounting manager for Foxwoods. "After reviewing a number of applications, we concluded that Eatec's solution best meets our technological and operational needs. We are very confident that EatecNetX will help us reduce our food costs and manage our operations more efficiently."

Currently, Foxwoods' food cost analysis and production kitchen transfers are performed manually. Managing inventory and recipes alone requires approximately 250 to 300 manual transactions a day. With EatecNetX, all of these transactions will be electronic, not only minimizing the amount of time spent on these tasks, but ensuring more accurate and timely information as well. Foxwoods will rely on EatecNetX for inventory management, purchase orders, requisitions and transfers, production management, and recipe and menu analysis. The buffet management function in EatecNetX will facilitate just-in-time production, while helping to ensure target profit margins. Foxwoods will be able to review a daily profit analysis for each of its outlets. EatecNetX will interface to Foxwoods' point-of-sale and financial systems.
