EatecNetX Implemented at Spirit Mountain Casino for Foodservice and Retail Management

Emeryville, CA, February 4, 2004 - Eatec Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise solutions for the foodservice and hospitality industries, has implemented its back-office system, EatecNetX, at Spirit Mountain Casino. Spirit Mountain is currently relying on EatecNetX to manage its foodservice operations and will soon be using the system to also manage its retail business.

Spirit Mountain Casino offers the largest selection of games in the Pacific Northwest and provides a variety of dining options for casino visitors. Spirit Mountain uses EatecNetX to manage its storeroom, fine dining restaurant, deli, two cafés, two kiosks, banquets, an employee dining room and room service. The EatecNetX retail module will be implemented soon.

"In the past, we had a DOS-based system that we wanted to replace," said Shawn Scranton, IT project manager for Spirit Mountain. "After reviewing a number of applications, we selected Eatec's solution because of their proven track record in the industry. EatecNetX is a very reliable, stable solution."

Currently, Spirit Mountain is using EatecNetX for inventory management, purchasing and receiving, recipe costing, requisitions and transfers. Soon, interfaces to Spirit Mountain's point-of-sale and accounting systems will be in place, enabling automatic depletion of inventory based on sales data and electronic export of transactional data to the accounting system. Later this year, Spirit Mountain will begin using EatecPocket, a wireless pocket PC accessory of EatecNetX, for posting physicals, executing transfers, and recording shrink.

"EatecNetX has given Spirit Mountain a way to easily analyze menu item costs," said Jeanne Friesen, inventory system administrator for Spirit Mountain. "It also gives management a clear picture of theoretical versus actual inventory usage, giving us the information we need to proactively control our costs. EatecNetX will also help us in our retail operations by giving us more accountability and better tracking of retail items. For example, we will be able to track sales by attributes such as size and color, so we can stock accordingly."
