EatecNetX Selected by la Madeleine Restaurants for Food and Beverage Management

Emeryville, CA, October 2, 2003 - Eatec Corporation is pleased to announce that EatecNetX, an award winning enterprise back-office solution, has been successfully implemented at the entire la Madeleine French bakery and café chain. EatecNetX is used to manage la Madeleine's sixty-two outlets, its production kitchen and its boulangerie.

La Madeleine currently uses EatecNetX for purchasing, receiving, inventory control and production management, as well as inter-site requisitions and transfers among its outlets. In addition, daily sales data is imported into EatecNetX from la Madeleine's point-of-sale system enabling inventory depletion and profit analysis reports by outlet. In October 2003, la Madeleine will expand the use of EatecNetX for purchasing by connecting the system to suppliers for the automatic exchange of purchase orders and pricing information. Soon, the system will interface to la Madeleine's financial system.
