Cannery Casino Hotel Select Back-Office Solution from Eatec Corporation

Emeryville, CA, December 10, 2002 - Eatec Corporation is pleased to announce that Rampart Resort Management, operator of the Rampart Resort Casino and the Cannery Casino Hotel, has selected Eatec Corporation's enterprise back-office solution, EatecNetX, to manage their foodservice and retail operations.
The Rampart Casino is a 50,000 square foot casino located within the Resort at Summerlin, minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. The site has three dining options for guests, the Promenade Café, Rampart Buffet and Carmel Room, and three bars, the Round Bar, Ringside and Addison. In addition, there is an on-site employee dining room, storeroom, and butchery. The Cannery Casino Hotel is a new 50,000 square foot casino and 201-room hotel in North Las Vegas opening in January 2003 that will have five dining options, Victory's Café, Cannery Row Buffet, Waverly's Steakhouse, Casa Cocina Mexican Restaurant and Casa Cocina Express, and four bars.
EatecNetX will be used to manage both properties entire foodservice operation. The system will be used for forecasting, purchasing and receiving, requisitions and transfers, inventory management, production management and recipe and menu analysis. In the Cannery Casino Hotel, EatecNetX will also be used to manage all retail outlets.
"We had been using a software system for inventory management but it had limited capabilities. Eatec is providing us with the robust functionality and advanced technology we need to manage our extensive operations smoothly," said Guy Hillyer, executive vice-president of Rampart Casino. "With EatecNetX, we will be able to track our costs in real-time and make adjustments accordingly."
In addition to control of inventory costs, EatecNetX will provide both properties with significant operational efficiencies by automating many tasks often done manually. For example, requisitions from each restaurant and outlet at Rampart Casino will be posted in EatecNetX electronically and received by the warehouse. The warehouse will review all the requisitions, and transfer the needed inventory to the necessary locations. Upon transfer, the quantity and value of the inventory items will be automatically transferred in the system from the warehouse to the receiving location.
The Player's Club at the Rampart Casino will also utilize EatecNetX to track inventory and points redeemed by members on the casino floor.
EatecNetX will be the core of a total software solution integrating with their point-of-sale and financial systems. Implementation and training of EatecNetX has commenced and both properties are planning to go live on the system in January 2003.
