Boudin Sourdough Bakery & Cafes Select Enterprise Foodservice Solution from Eatec Corporation

Emeryville, CA, October 9, 2002 - Eatec Corporation announced today that Boudin Sourdough Bakery & Cafes will manage its cafes with EatecNetX, the enterprise back-office solution for the foodservice and hospitality industries.

In operation since 1849, Boudin is the oldest business in San Francisco, CA. Today, the company sells a variety of products from world-famous Sourdough French bread to hearty sandwiches, pastries, pizzas, soups and salads. Boudin will rely on Eatec’s software solution for forecasting, inventory management, purchasing and receiving, recipe costing and analysis, production management, requisitions and transfers.

“Eatec’s technology will enable us to track all of our inventory activity, including purchases, production, transfers and usage. This will help us identify waste and variance problems, and make the necessary operational changes to better control our food costs,” said Marianne Zakhour, project manager of Boudin. “In addition, we will be able to more easily control profit margins by utilizing the recipe development and costing tools within EatecNetX.”

Four Boudin bakery cafes will go live on EatecNetX in November 2002, with interfaces connecting EatecNetX to Boudin’s point-of-sale and financial systems. All of the cafes will be operational on EatecNetX by 2003.
