Orange Lake Resort & Country Club

Santa Barbara and Emeryville, CA, February 5, 2002 - InfoGenesis and Eatec Corporation, leading solution providers to the hospitality and foodservice industries, today announced a partnered installation at Orange Lake Resort & Country Club in Florida, consisting of Revelation point-of-sale (POS) solution from InfoGenesis and Eatec’s EatecNetX enterprise back-office foodservice management solution.
Opened in 1982 by Holiday Inn's founder, Kemmons Wilson, Orange Lake Resort & Country Club is the world’s largest single-site timeshare resort, spread over 1,100 acres and only minutes from Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and other major attractions. Orange Lake offers seven on-property restaurants and bars for its timeshare owners and guests, including the Paisan Pizzeria and the Beachfront Bar & Grill. The resort also has several retail outlets, pro shops and a general store.
InfoGenesis and Eatec have carefully integrated their applications, linking Revelation and EatecNetX, to deliver a powerful and easy-to-use solution for Orange Lake’s food and beverage and retail operations. The InfoGenesis POS solution includes 28 IBM SurePOS 500 terminals running Revelation, enabling Orange Lake to track sales in each of their revenue centers. Orange Lake relies on EatecNetX for inventory management, purchasing, requisitions and transfers, and physical inventory. By integrating Revelation and EatecNetX, Orange Lake Resort now has property-wide access to accurate inventory quantities. The costs and prices of new retail items in EatecNetX are downloaded automatically to update the Revelation database. Retail barcode labels are created in EatecNetX and scanned by Revelation to record sales. Profit analyses by revenue center are generated easily at any time.

Orange Lake also uses Revelation POS to offer special discounts throughout the resort by enabling timeshare owners to use a smart card at the point of sale. This technology offers Orange Lake’s owners additional convenience with full access to their account charging and discount privileges from anywhere within the resort.
In addition to its retail and restaurant operations, the resort supplies more than 1,800 timeshare units with items ranging from linens to kitchen equipment to furniture. In the near future this inventory will also be managed with EatecNetX. ”We are excited about the ability to use EatecNetX for unit inventory tracking, as this will improve our reporting and cost analysis,” added Casey.
