Dinnerhouse owner: EatecNetX aiding operations

New York -- B.R. Guest Inc., an 11-unit restaurant operator based here, said it is improving its performance by using EatecNetX, Eatec Corp.'s Web-based, enterprise-wide back-office management software.

Michael Jacobs, B.R. Guest's chief financial officer, said the success of his organization is dependent on its ability to generate performance and analysis reports and uncover important operating trends across all of its properties, which include Blue Water Grill and Ruby Foo's. "EatecNetX has greatly improved our work flow and provides us with the actionable information we need to control our food and beverage costs," he explained.

B.R. Guest uses EatecNetX for recipe and menu development, vendor bidding, requisitions and transfers and production management, according to sources at Emeryville, Calif.-based Eatec Corp. They said EatecNetX stores in a single database operational data from all 11 B.R. Guest restaurants as well as the company's commissary and interfaces with the foodservice operator's point-of-sale and financial management system.
