In 1995, Eatec Corporation introduced the first food and beverage Microsoft Windows-based back-office application in the industry. Since then, Eatec's software solutions have been based exclusively on Microsoft technology

EatecNetX utilizes Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft ActiveX technology, providing a familiar graphical user-interface and enabling clients to access the system from anywhere via the Internet or corporate intranet. EatecNetX utilizes Microsoft SQL Server to provide clients with an enterprise solution for the management of multiple outlets from a single, centralized data source. Microsoft's SOAP server provides open XML-based, two-way communication between EatecNetX and suppliers, B2B exchanges, etc. for the exchange of purchase orders and pricing information.

In 2002, Eatec introduced EatecPocket, enabling use of EatecNetX from pocket PC devices utilizing the Microsoft Windows CE platform on a wireless LAN.

Today, Eatec supports the newest version of Microsoft SQL Server, the Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition (64-bit).
